BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont Futures Project — working with the Vermont Chamber of Commerce — has released an economic action plan designed to address the state’s workforce and housing challenges.
The group says the state’s affordability crisis and stagnant population growth have strained public services, increased housing costs, and limited economic opportunities. They say without strategic action, these challenges will continue to erode the state’s economic vitality.
Our Ike Bendavid spoke with the project’s Kevin Chu about the key elements of their plan.
