BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – New resources are available for aging Vermonters and their caretakers.
CareForTom.org is a website with resources to help families navigate the logistics of aging, from financial challenges to finding a living facility to when to stop driving.
A Vermont woman founded the nonprofit based on her personal experience with elder care.
“I think until you go through losing a parent or an older loved one, you really have no idea the exhaustion you feel trying to help them in these kind of last chapters because really there’s a sense of urgency for pretty much every decision,” said Nicole Junas Ravlin, who founded CareForTom.org.
