ESSEX, Vt. (WCAX) – An Essex teen has been arrested after police say he was caught driving a stolen car.
It happened around 3 p.m. Thursday. Essex Police say officers pulled over a car believed to be stolen at the intersection of Susie Wilson Bypass and Route 2A. They say the driver ran away and was on the run for 45 minutes in the woods.
Officers found and took the 16-year-old into custody a short time later.
Police say the stolen car is tied to possible crimes in neighboring towns.
