BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Pomerleau family has once again spread some holiday cheer before Christmas.
The Pomerleau Family Foundation hosted their 44th holiday party for local families at the Hotel Champlain in Burlington. The event had over 400 people looking to eat a Christmas meal and enjoy a fun filled afternoon.
Children got their face painted, sat with Santa, and had a chance to make their own Christmas gifts.
Officials say, this party was really needed in the community as they are seeing more lower and middle class families struggling every year.
“There are some people in our community who are struggling. More than certainly we are. What we get is a feeling of joy. We are neighbors, we are friends, we are the same community,” said Patricia Pomerleau/The Pomerleau Family Foundation.
Organizers say they are planning something special for next year, the 45th anniversary.
