Region braces for possible flooding

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Much of the region is bracing for rain late Wednesday and early Thursday that could bring flooding.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through Thursday morning for Essex County, New York, and all of Vermont except for Grand Isle County. Coos, Grafton, and Sullivan Counties in New Hampshire are also under a flood watch.

They say heavy rain may fall on a deep primed snowpack leading rivers to rise quickly.
