RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – A Rutland police officer has been cited in connection to a 2023 shooting.
Vermont State Police say it stems from an incident from July of 2023, during which Sgt. Andrew Plemmons shot and wounded two 21-year-old brothers from Springfield, Massachusetts. They have since recovered from their injuries.
State police say the Attorney General’s office issued Plemmons a citation to appear in court Friday on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment.
