PERU, Vt. (WCAX) – The views have reached new heights on the summit of Bromley Mountain.
A new, 40-foot observation tower has opened there, offering hikers majestic views of the Green Mountains.
According to the Green Mountain Club, which made this project happen, you can see Killington, Okemo, Stratton and Glastenbury mountains from the new structure.
The new tower replaces the original wooden structure that was built in 1962 but dismantled in 2012 over safety concerns.
Hikers can enjoy the new tower by hiking the Long Trail north from Route 11/30 or by taking a chairlift from the base of Bromley.
