LYNDON, Vt. (WCAX) – We are learning more about one of the victims in the double-homicide in St. Johnsbury.
Vermont State University Lyndon says Ben Lyons, 21, was a student at the school. He was in the music business and industry program.
In a statement, school officials said, in part, “We know Ben’s loss will be felt by many and our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends and our wider university community during this difficult time.”
Lyons was one of two men who died after what police are calling a domestic violence incident inside a St. Johnsbury home on Sunday. When troopers arrived at the home on Cottage Street, they found Nicholas Johnson, 42, dead from a gunshot wound. Lyons later died at the hospital from a stab wound to the neck. Police say both deaths are homicides, but we still don’t know what led up to them.
The case remains under investigation.
