BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Some pooches are making a splash this summer to help out a local shelter.
At Lake Bomoseen, The Fly Dogs will host their annual dock diving event in front of the golf course. The showcase includes various competitions for dogs, like farthest jump and fastest retrieval.
Organizers say proceeds raised through raffles and donations will benefit the Rutland County Humane Society.
“It gives me a great feeling, and so many people support us you know it’s really I love doing it it’s a lot of effort but you know it’s for the best cause you can possibly have. People have been so generous like they always are for the humane society and it’s awesome,” said Fly Dogs owner Jeff Leonard.
There will be two days of events this year starting Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
