BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – New Hampshire is receiving millions of dollars in federal funds in an effort to get granite staters online.
That comes from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration – or NTLA.
The NTLA recently approved initial proposals from New Hampshire and Colorado for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment – or BEAD – program.
The program seeks to fund internet upgrades in certain communities to allow everyone access to reliable, affordable, high-speed internet.
New Hampshire will be able to access a chunk of change of over $196 million to get that work underway.
