BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – What would a proposed shift in federal drug policy on cannabis mean for Vermont’s budding recreational industry?

The Justice Department last week formally moved to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug — from a Schedule One drug down to a Schedule Three drug under the Controlled Substance Act — a historic shift in generations of U.S. drug policy.
