BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A grand jury has indicted six men in connection with a Rutland drug ring.
Federal authorities say Eddie Melendez, 30, Reuben Melendez, 28, Serafin Melendez, 53, Mathew Ponce, 29, and Giovanny Guzman, 23, all of Massachusetts, as well as Anthony Baker, 31, of Rutland, have been indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine base and fentanyl between August 2023 and January of 2024. Each pleaded not guilty.
They face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
