BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermonters are helping Vermonters by giving out grants to flood-impacted farmers across the state.
Dig Deep Vermont is entirely volunteer-run, focusing on supporting the state’s hardest-hit farmers after a season of devastating weather.
This week, 32 farmers across Vermont will receive micro-grants ranging from $200 to $1,800 to help plant new crops, feed animals, and buy groceries.
Dig Deep Vermont was started in January and is organized by the Vermont Association of Broadcasters, Vermont Credit Unions, and the Vermont Ski Areas Association.
