ADDISON COUNTY, Vt. (WCAX) – The majority of the Addison County legislative delegation is calling on embattled Addison County State’s Attorney Eva Vekos to resign.
A letter from lawmakers on Monday said, in part: “Her unprofessional behavior at a crime scene and offensive comments about local law enforcement officers have significantly harmed the trust and respect between the residents of Addison County and their State’s Attorney.”
The lawmakers also cited a petition that was signed by more than 400 Addison County residents asking that Vekos be removed from office.
WCAX News reached out to Vekos’ attorney for comment but had not yet heard back when this story was published.
