Stabbing leaves Vt. man with life-threatening injuries, police say

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a stabbing early Tuesday morning left a Vermont man with life-threatening injuries.

Vermont State Police say it happened at about 3:20 a.m. in St. Johnsbury in the area of Avenue A and New Boston Road. Responding troopers found a 32-year-old man from St. Johnsbury there who had been stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital in St. Johnsbury and then transferred to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, where police said he was in stable condition Tuesday evening.

Investigators did not release the victim’s name or any information about a possible suspect or suspects but said the stabbing appears to be isolated with no indication of a threat to the general public.
