Interstate 91 southbound from exit 16 to Bradford and 15 to Fairlee will be closed.
VTrans says the closure is because of concerns about a rockfall that happened in the area. State geologists and maintenance are working on the issue but it is unknown how long the closure will last.
Detour signs are in place in the meantime.
