BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Burlington sailing organization is getting national recognition for its efforts to promote sailing for people with disabilities.
The Community Sailing Center accepted the Robie Pierce Award from U.S. Sailing.
The CSC Adaptive Watersports program has been around since 1997 to support those with congitive and physical disabilities get out on the water.
The organization in 2023 received financial support from the Waterwheel Foundation allowed to offer free adaptive sailing for all participants with disabilities.
